Rev’d Philip Heak, the Rector of Howth, as been appointed Priest-in-Charge in Clontarf until the vacancy is filled.
Rev’d Heak writes:
The Archbishop has asked me to take on the role of temporary priest-in charge of Clontarf Parish during the vacancy. This means I’ll be responsible for organising the Sunday service rota, providing emergency pastoral care and chairing the Select Vestry during this interim period.
I’m very much looking forward to getting to know you over the coming months. as some of you may know, I’m also Rector of Howth, so this role is in addition to my regular responsibilities there – but I am glad to be helping out.
A little about me: I’m originally from Co. Armagh and have spent most of my ministry in the Republic. I’m married to Christabel and we share our home with four much-loved cats. I’m passionate about music, woodworking, photography – and love to cook.
Please keep the Select Vestry, the nominators and me in your prayers as we work together to continue the good ministry and witness of your former Rector Lesley.
I look forward to meeting many of you soon.
With every blessing.
Rev’d Philip Heak
